アフリカ北部が原産の「アトラスシーダー（Cedrus atlantica）」の栽培品種です。成長は遅く、高さは４．５〜９メートルになります。樹皮は幼木では平滑な灰色で、成木になると粗くなります。枝は枝垂れ、葉は白粉を帯びた青緑色の針形で、輪生状につきます。

マツ科ヒマラヤスギ属の常緑小高木で、学名は Cedrus atlantica cv. Glauca Pendula。英名は Weeping blue Atlas cedar。

The Weeping blue Atlas cedar (Cedrus atlantica cv. Glauca Pendula) belongs to Pinaceae (the Pine family). It is a semi-tall evergreen tree that is a cultivar of "Atlas cedar". This tree grows slowly and can reach 4.5-9 m in height. Barks are smooth and gray when young, and rough with ages. Branches droop down, leaves are powdery bluish-green needles and born in whorls.
