"Shirobana-hakusan-shajin" (Adenophora triphylla var. hakusanensis f. chionantha) belongs to Campanulaceae (the Bellflower family). It is a perennial herb that is endemic to Japan and is distributed north of the Chubu region of Honshu. It is a white flower variety of "Hakusan-shajin" and grows in the grasslands of the subalpine to alpine zones, and its height is 15 to 50 cm. The leaves are ovate-elliptic and serrated, with 3 to 5 whorled. From July to August, white several flowers bloom in whorled on the upper part of the stem in 2 to 3 tiers. The corolla is plump bell-shaped, the calyx is linear, serrated or entire.
