この栽培品種は、「ロニケラ・アメリカーナ（Lonicera x americana）」と「つきぬきにんどう（Lonicera sempervirens）」との交配種だと考えられています。春から霜が降りるまでの長い期間咲き続け、鮮やかな桃紫色と黄色の花色が特徴です。落葉・半落葉の蔓性木本または小低木で、高さは３メートル以上になります。

The Everblooming honeysuckle (Lonicera x heckrottii) belongs to Caprifoliaceae (the Honeysuckle family). This cultivar is believed to be a cross between Lonicera x americana and Trumpet honeysuckleo (Lonicera sempervirens). It continues to bloom for a long period of time from spring until frost, and is characterized by its bright peach-purple and yellow flower color. It is a deciduous or semi-deciduous vine or small shrub, growing to more than 3 m tall.
