しこたんすげ (色丹菅) [Index] [Back] わが国の北海道、根室・釧路地方と礼文島、それに千島列島やサハリンに分布しています。海岸の岩場や草地に生え、高さは４０〜８０センチになります。葉は線形で幅３〜６ミリ、乳頭状突起があります。７月から８月ごろ、花茎を伸ばして花序をだします。上方の１〜２個は雄性で長さ１５〜３０ミリ、側小穂は雌性で長さ１５〜３０ミリあります。果胞は長楕円形で長さ４５〜５５ミリあり、黒っぽい色をしています。 カヤツリグサ科スゲ属の多年草で、学名は Carex scita var. scabrinervia。英名はありません。 The "Shikotan-suge" (Carex scita var. scabrinervia) belongs to Cyperaceae (the Sedge family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed to the Nemuro and Kushiro regions, Rebun Island in Hokkaido, as well as the Kuril Islands and Sakhalin. It grows on rocky shores and grasslands, reaching a height of 40 to 80 cm. The leaves are linear, 3 to 6 mm wide, and have papillate projections. From July to August, it extends a scape bearing an inflorescence. The upper 1-2 spikelets are male, 15-30 mm long, while the pleurogerous spikelets are female, also 15-30 mm long.
