The Blue-eyed grass (Sisyrinchium sp.) belongs to Iridaceae (the Iris family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed mainly in the New World, and adjacent areas about 100 species. Eastern blue-eyed grass (Sisyrinchium atlanticum) is naturalized widely into Japan. The 1st to 4th photos are a cultivar 'California Sky'. This cultivar can reach 20-25 cm in height, and bright sky-blue flowers bloom from April to May.
