"Sirobana-tanpopo" (Taraxacum albidum) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native to Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu in Japan. The flower heads are white and the leaves are pale green. The outer involcal bracts are narrow ovate and slightly recurved. They have large triangular projections at the tips. The blooming season is February to May.
