しちとうすみれ (七島菫) [Index] [Back] わが国の本州、伊豆半島南部や伊豆七島に分布している「たちつぼすみれ」の変種です。海岸に生え、高さは５〜１５センチになります。葉には光沢があり、托葉が大きくて粗い切れ込みがあるのが特徴です。３月から４月ごろ、淡い紫色の花を咲かせます。 スミレ科スミレ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Viola grypoceras var. hichitoana。英名はありません。 "Shichitou-sumire" (Viola grypoceras var. hichitoana) belongs to Violaceae (the Viola family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed to the southern Izu Peninsula of Honshu and the Izu Islands in Japan. This herb grows near seashore and can reach 5-15 cm in height. it is defined by the glossy leaves, and large, coarsely notched stipulars.
