ソフロニティス・コッキネア [Index] [Back] ブラジルの東部に分布しています。標高１０００メートル以上の熱帯雨林に生え、樹幹などに着生します。偽球茎は細い紡錘形で、革質の長楕円形の葉が、１個がつきます。冬から春に偽球茎の頂に短い花序をだし、橙赤色から朱赤色の花を１個咲かせます。 ラン科ソフロニティス属の常緑多年草で、学名は Sophronitis coccinea。英名はありません。 The Sophronitis coccinea belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is native to eastern Brazil. This herb ia an epyphyte and grows in tropical rainforests up to 1000 m elevation. Pseudobulbs are narrow spindle-shaped and the leaf is solitary, oblong and leathery.
