スフィロスペルムム属は、メキシコ南部から南アメリカのボリビアにかけて、およそ２１種があります。着生植物で、熱帯雨林の低地から高地まで分布しています。このコルディフォリウム種は、コロンビアが原産です。葉は小さくて葉脈が目立たず、白い釣鐘形の花を下垂して咲かせます。

ツツジ科スフィロスペルムム属の常緑小低木で、学名は Sphyrospermum cordifolium。英名はありません。

The Sphyrospermum genus belongs to Ericaceae (the Heath family). This genus has about 21 species and distributed from southern Mexico to Bolivia, South America. It is an evergreen shrub, epiphyte and grows in lowland to high montane of rainforests. Sphyrospermum cordifolium is native to Colombia. Laeves are small with inconspicuous veins, and white bell-shaped flowers are drooping down.
