アフリカ・タンザニアの北東部、ウサンバラ山地に分布しています。有茎種で、温帯林の林内に生えます。葉は卵形で、ベルベットのような毛に被われます。夏、葉腋から集散花序をだし、小さな薄紫色の花を咲かせます。 |

イワタバコ科ストレプトカーパス属の多年草で、学名は Streptocarpus pallidiflorus。英名はありません。 |

The Streptocarpus pallidiflorus belongs to Gesneriaceae (the African violet family). It is a perennial herbacious plant that is endemic to the Usambara Mountains, northeastern of Tanzania. This plant is caulescent and grows in warm forests. Leaves are ovate with soft velvety hairs. In summer, cymes are born on the axils, with small pale violet flowers. |
