ストルマリア属は、南アフリカからナミビアの冬季降雨地域に２４種が分布しています。本種は、北ケープ地方の西部に分布しています。秋に花茎を伸ばして散形花序をつけ、白色の花を咲かせます。開花が進むと花序は項垂れます。葉は舌状線形で６個以上がつきます。葉の基部に、鞘状で赤褐色の低出葉（Cataphyll）がつくのが特徴です。夏には地上部は枯死して休眠します。 |

About 24 species of the genus Stormaria are distributed to the winter rainfall area of from South Africa to Namibia. This species is distributed in the western part of the Northern Cape Province. In fall, the flower stalks are borne to give umbels and white flowers bloom. As the flowering progresses, the inflorescence hangs down. The leaves are linear tongue and have 6 or more. It is characterized by a sheath-like, reddish-brown cataphyll at the base of the leaf. In summer, the terrestrial dies and sleeps. |
