すずめのかたびら (雀の帷子)

わが国の各地をはじめ、世界中に広く分布しています。いたるところにふつうに見られますが、古い時代に麦類とともに帰化した植物とされています。葉は線形で柔らかく、高さは１０〜３０センチほどになります。３月から１１月ごろ、円錐状の花序を伸ばして、淡緑色の小穂をたくさんつけます。中国語では「早熟禾（zao shu he）」と呼ばれます。 |

The Annual bluegrass (Poa annua) belongs to Poaceae (the Grass family). It is an annual herb that is widely distributed all over the world, including various parts of Japan. This herb is commonly found everywhere, but is considered to be a naturalized plant with wheat in the old days. The leaves are linear and soft, about 10 to 30 cm high. From March to November, it grow conical inflorescences and bear a lot of light green spikelets. In Chinese, it is called "早熟禾" (zao shu he). |
