The "Zakuro-so" (Mollugo pentaphylla) belongs to the family Molluginaceae. Ir is an annual herb that is distributed from Honshu to Shikoku, Kyushu in Japan, as well as Taiwan, the Koren Peninsula, China, East Asia, and India. It usually grows in fields and roadsides, and is about 10 to 25 cm in height. The leaves are lanceolate to linear lanceolate, similar to "Pomegranate", and 3 to 5 leaves are arranged in false verticillate. From July to October, the tips of the stems are finely branched and bloom small white flowers. There are no petals and there are 5 white-green calyxes. It is called "粟米草" in Taiwanese Chinese and "粟米草" (su mi cao) in Chinese.
