"Chosen-maki" (Cephalotaxus harringtonia f. fastigiata) belongs to the family Cephalotaxaceae. It is a small evergreen tree that is a cultivar of "Japanese plum yew" (Cephalotaxus harringtonia). The Japanese name says Korea, but it has nothing to do with it. It branches well from the trunk and the branches stand upright. While the leaves of "Japanese plum yew" are lined up in two rows, they alternate in a spiral. The color of the leaves is also dark green. Occasionally, it seems that the leaves that are lined up in the same two rows as "Japanese plum yew" are also attached by throwing back.
