朝鮮半島から中国の東北部・北部それにモンゴルに分布しています。「いわぎく（岩菊）」の変種ですが、草丈が高くなります。葉は切れ込みが浅く、裂片が広いものです。７月から１１月ごろ、大きな白色の花を咲かせます。紅色の花色もあるそうです。現在、ふつうに見られる「きく（菊）」の祖先のひとつです。中国語では「楔葉菊（xie ye ju） 」と呼ばれます。

キク科キク属の多年草で、学名は Chrysanthemum zawadskii var. latilobum (syn. Chrysanthemum zawadskii ssp. naktongense)。英名はありません。

The "Chosen-nogiku" (Chrysanthemum zawadskii var. latilobum) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from the Korean Peninsula to the northeastern and northern parts of China and Mongolia. It is a variety of "Zawadsky's chrysanthemum", but the plant height is higher. The leaves have shallow cuts and wide shards. Large white flowers come in July to November. There is also a crimson flower color. It is one of the ancestors of "Kiku" (Chrysanthemum) that is commonly seen today. In Chinese, it is called "楔葉菊" (xie ye ju).
