メキシコの南部、オアハカ州（Oaxaca）に分布しています。高さは１．８メートルほどになり、葉は線形で弓なりになります。葉の表面は細かい紙やすり状で、縁には黄白色の棘が生えます。成熟すると、長い花茎を伸ばして穂状花序をつけます。 |

リュウゼツラン科ダシリリオン属の常緑小低木で、学名は Dasylirion serratifolium。英名は Sandpaper sotol。 |

The Sandpaper sotol (Dasylirion serratifolium) belongs to Agavaceae (the Agave family). It is an evergreen shrub that is distributed in the southern part of Mexico, Oaxaca. The height is about 1.8 m, and the leaves are linear and bow-shaped. The surface of the leaves is fine sandpaper-like, with yellowish-white spines on the edges. As it matures, it grows long flower stalks and bears spikes. |
