The Dendrobium aphyllum belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is a deciduous herb that is native to southern China, the eastern Himalayas, and Indochina. It is a epiphyte, the stem grows up to 60-90 cm long and hangs. The leaves are narrow ovate. They grow well in summer, but all fall apart during flowering season. The flowers are white to pale pink with purple stripes or mottles, and bloom in spring.
