The Dendrobium speciosum var. curvicaule belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is found in the eastern part of Queensland, Australia. It grows in tropical wet biomes, and grows on trees and rocks, reaching a height of 15 to 50 cm. The stem is thick and rod-shaped, and four to five long elliptic leaves grow on the top. From spring to early summer, it extends a scape and produces a raceme, which is full of creamy white flowers. The flowers have a pleasant fragrance.
