インドから東南アジアに分布しています。むしろ涼しい気候を好み、高さは３０センチほどになります。茎は肥大すると、断面が四角形になります。茎から出た葉は、冬には落葉します。春、茎の先端から花序を下垂させ、白色から淡いピンクの花を咲かせます。唇弁は鮮やかな黄色です。

ラン科セッコク属の多年草で、学名は Dendrobium farmeri。英名は Farmer's dendrobium。

The Farmer's dendrobium (Dendrobium farmeri) belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from India to Southeast Asia. Rather, it prefers a cool climate and can reach up to 30 cm in height. When the stem is enlarged, the cross section becomes square. The leaves that emerge from the stems fall off in winter. In spring, the inflorescences hang down from the tips of the stems and bloom white to pale pink flowers. The labellum is bright yellow.
