The Dendrobium palpebrae belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed from the Indochina Peninsula to Bangladesh. It grows in mountainous areas at an altitude of 800 to 2500 m, epiphytic on tree branches, and reaches a height of 30 to 45 cm. The stems are club-shaped, grow in clusters, and are enclosed in a membranous sheath. The leaves are lanceolate to oblong, with two to five leaves on each stem. In spring and late summer, white flowers with yellow labellums bloom in drooping inflorescences. The labellum has a low lateral lobe and "eyelash-like" hairs at the base.
