スペキオスム種（Dendrobium speciosum）とキンギアヌム種（Dendrobium kingianum）との種間交雑種です。低温性の原種どうしの交配で、丈夫で寒さにも強いのが特徴です。偽球茎は長さ１５センチほどで、早春に花茎を伸ばして、白色からピンク色の花を咲かせます。イギリス王立園芸協会には、１８９２年に登録されています。

The Dendrobium specio-kingianum belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is an interspecific hybrid between the Dendrobium speciosum and the Dendrobium kingianum. It is a mating of low-temperature species, and is characterized by being strong and resistant to the cold. The pseudobulb is about 15 cm long and grows in early spring to bloom white to pink flowers. It was registered with the Royal Horticultural Society in 1892.
