オーストラリアの北東部、クイーンズランド州のケープヨーク半島に分布してます。雨林の林縁などに生え、樹幹やときに岩上に着生します。匍匐茎は這ってマット状に広がります。葉は棒状で多肉質です。春から夏にかけて、花茎を伸ばして白色の花をいっぱいに咲かせます。

ラン科セッコク属の常緑多年草で、学名は Dendrobium wassellii。英名はありません。

The Dendrobium wassellii belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed on the Cape York Peninsula in Queensland, northeastern Australia. It grows on the edges of rainforests, and grows on trunks and sometimes on rocks. The stolon crawls and spreads like a mat. The leaves are rod-shaped and fleshy. From spring to summer, the flower stalks are stretched and full of white flowers bloom.
