The Hybrid deutzia (Deutzia x hybrida) belongs to Hydrangeaceae (the Hydrangea family). It is a deciduous shrub that is a group of cultivars derived from the Deutzia longifolia (chang ye sou shu) and the Deutzia discolor (yi se sou shu), originating from central and southern China. The crown is rounded conical, reaching heights of 1.2 to 1.8 m. It produces numerous stems, tending to form a dense shrub. The leaves are dark green and ovate. From May to June, pale pink flowers bloom in terminal panicles. The photo shows 'Mont Rose', developed in 1925 by French breeder Lemoine.
