ドゥーツィア・マグニフィカ [Index] [Back] わが国原産の「まるばうつぎ」と、中国中部が原産のウィルモリニアエ種との種間交雑種です。高さは１．８〜３メートルになります。葉は灰緑色の卵状長楕円形で対生します。５月から６月ごろ、八重咲きの白色からピンク色の花を咲かせます。 写真上・中１の品種は、「ツールビヨンルージュ（cv. Tourbillon Rouge）」。 アジサイ科ウツギ属の落葉小低木で、学名は Deutzia x magnifica。英名は Showy deutzia。 The Showy deutzia (Deutzia x magnifica) belongs to Hydrangeaceae (the Hydrangea family). It is a deciduous shrub that is an interspecific hybrid between the Deutzia scabra (Fuzzy deutzia - native to Japan) and the Deutzia vilmoriniae (native to central China). This shrub can reach about 1.8-3 m in height. The leaves are grayish-green, ovate-oblong and opposite. The double, white to pink flowers come in May to June. The upper two photos are a cultivar 'Tourbillon Rouge' (pink to crimson flower color).
