ブラジルが原産です。高さは１メートルほどになります。葉腋に穂状花序をだし、ピンクがかった紅色の唇状花を咲かせます。温室では真夏以外、周年開花しています。「ユスティキア・ブラシリアナ（Justicia brasiliana）」と分類されることもあります。

キツネノマゴ科ディアンテラ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Dianthera nodosa (syn. Justicia brasiliana)。英名はありません。

The Dianthera nodosa belongs to Acanthaceae (the Acanthus family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is native to Brazil. This herb can reach about 1 m in height. The spikes are borne at the axils and bloom rose-pink labiate flowers. The flowers bloom all year around except midsummer in the conservatory. It is also classified Justicia brasiliana.
