The Keruing (Dipterocarpus sp.) belongs to the family Dipterocarpaceae. It is a tall evergreen tree that is distributed across Southeast Asia, South Asia, India, and Sri Lanka. It is also highly diverse, with the greatest diversity found on the island of Borneo. The largest specimens can reach a height of 45 m or more, with a branch-free height of up to 21 m. This timber has been used in many countries.
