The Lance leaf sundew (Drosera adelae) belongs to Droseraceae (the Sundew family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed in the rainforests of Queensland, northeastern Australia. It is one of the largest of the genus Drosera. The roots spread near the surface and give rise to many adventitious buds. From short stems, narrow lanceolate trapped leaves grow to 20-25 cm in length. There is a correlation between the length of the leaves and the amount of light, and the larger the amount of light, the smaller the leaves. Also, if the amount of light is sufficient, it will turn red. The flower stalk is extended and red to reddish brown flowers come in bloom.
