オーストラリア、西オーストラリア州の南西部に分布しています。泥炭質の湿地などに生え、高さは30〜40センチになります。葉は長さ1.5〜2センチのへら形で、多くの腺毛が生え、ロゼットを形成します。初夏、長い花梗を伸ばして花序をつけ、ピンク色や紫色、赤色の花を5〜12個咲かせます。 
モウセンゴケ科モウセンゴケ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Drosera hamiltonii。英名は Rosy sundew。 
The Rosy sundew (Drosera hamiltonii) belongs to Droseraceae (the Sundew family). It is an evergreen perennial herbacious plant that is distributed to southwestern Western Australia. This herb grows in the peaty swamps and can reach 30-40 cm in height. Leaves are spatulate 1.5-2 cm in length with many glandular hairs and rosetted. In early summer, inflorescences of 5-12 pink, purple or red flowers are seen on the long peduncles.
