The Canyon liveforever (Dudleya cymosa ssp. cymosa) belongs to Crassulaceae (the Orpine family). It is a perennial evergreen herb that is endemic to California in the United States. It grows on outcrops, slopes, and canyons in coastal mountainous areas and is about 30 cm tall. The leaves are ovate, triangular to oblong or spatulate, fleshy, and form rosettes. It usually forms a single unbranched rosette, but it may branch to form several rosettes. In late spring, the flower stalks grow to form cymes, which produce bright yellow, orange, or red flowers. The specific epithet means "furnished with cymes" in Latin.
