ディプシス・サンテルセイ [Index] [Back] マダガスカル島が原産です。白い砂地の海岸林に生え、高さは６〜１０メートルになります。幹は単桿で、直径１５センチほど、目立つ稜があり緑色です。クラウンシャフトは長くて細く、白いビロード毛の層に被われています。葉は淡い緑色の羽状複葉です。英名は、サンテ・ルースの森に生えるヤシという意味から。  ヤシ科ヤマドリヤシ属の常緑小高木で、学名は Dypsis saintelucei。英名は Sainte-luce palm。  The Sainte-luce palm (Dypsis saintelucei) belongs to Arecaceae (the Palm family). It is a semi-tall evergreen tree that is native to Madagascar. This tree grows in coastal forest on white sand, and up to 6-10 m tall. The trunk is single, about 15 cm in diameter, prominently ringed and green. The crownshaft is long and narrow, covered with heavy layer of white tomentum. The leaves are light green, pinnately compound.
