メキシコの北西部に分布しています。１９７２年にチワワ州とソノラ州の境にある標高１４４０メートルほどの山岳地帯で発見されました。小さな多肉植物で、ロゼットの直径は５センチほどです。５月から６月ごろ、１０〜１５センチほどの花茎を伸ばして分枝し、鮮紅色の花を咲かせます。

ベンケイソウ科タキツス属の常緑多年草で、学名は Tacitus bellus（syn. Graptopetalum bellum）。英名は Chihuahua flower。

The Chihuahua flower (Tacitus bellus) belongs to Crassulaceae (the Orpine family). It is an evergreen herb that is distributed in the northwestern part of Mexico. It was discovered in 1972 in a mountainous area at an altitude of about 1440 m on the border between Chihuahua and Sonora. It is a small succulent plant with a rosette diameter of about 5 cm. From May to June, the flower stalks of about 10 to 15 cm are stretched and branched to bloom bright red flowers.
