たいま (大麻) [Index] [Back] アジアの中・南部が原産だと考えられています。成長が早く、高さは２〜３メートルになります。葉は掌状複葉で、鋸歯のある小葉がふつう７個か９個つきます。雌雄異株です。花は夏に咲きます。雄花はふつう緩やかな円錐花序につき、雌花は総状花序につきます。これらは不完全花です。長い間、繊維用や種子油、薬用や気晴らしのための麻薬などに利用されてきました。わが国では縄文時代から大麻や苧麻の使用が確認されています。 また葉や花にはテトラヒドロカンナビノールが含まれるため、わが国では原則的に栽培が禁止されています。 アサ科アサ属の一年草で、学名は Cannabis sativa。英名は Cannabis、Hemp。 The Cannabis (Cannabis sativa) belongs to Cannabaceae (the Hemp family). It is an annual herb that is probably native to central and south Asia. This herb grows fast and can reach 2-3 m in height. The leaves are palmately compound with usually seven or nine serrate leaflets. It is dioecious. The flowers come in summer. The male flowers are normally borne on loose panicles, and the female flowers are borne on racemes, though they are imperfect flowers. Cannabis has long been used for fiber, for seed and seed oils, for medicinal purposes, and as a recreational drug. In Japan, the use of cannabis and ramie has been confirmed since the Jomon period. The leaves and flowers contain THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and it is banned cultivating essentially in Japan.
