わが国の本州、関東地方以北から北海道に分布しています。山地の沢沿いや林縁に生え、高さは５０〜１５０センチになります。葉は三角状心形で縁には粗い鋸歯があり、長い葉柄につきます。葉の表面には粗い毛が疎らに生え、裏面には白色のくも毛が密生します。葉腋には、珠芽がつきます。８月から１０月ごろ、茎頂に円錐花序をだし、黄色い頭花を咲かせます。頭花は、５〜６個の両性の筒状花です。 |

キク科コウモリソウ属の多年草で、学名は Cacalia farfaraefolia var. bulbifera。英名はありません。 |

The "Tama-buki" (Parasenecio farfarifolius var. bulbifer) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed northward from Kanto district of Honshu to Hokkaido. This herb grows along streams and in forest edges, and can reach 50-150 cm in height. The leaves are deltoid-cordate, coarsely serrated with long petioles. The leaf surfaces bear sparse hairs and the abaxial sides are covered thickly with white spiderweb-like hairs. The propagules are borne on the axils. The yellow flower-heads bloom in the terminal panicles from August to October. The flower-heads consist of 5-6 bisexual tubular flowers. |
