It is a edible fungus that is distributed throughout Japan, as well as the Korean Peninsula, China, India, Sri-Lanka, North America and Oceania. This fungus grows on forest floors of broad-leaved forests, coniferous forests or mixed forests, and can reach 10-20 cm in height. The color of mushroom cap is red to redish-orange. The cap-shape is ovate at first, an instant later becomes steamed bread-shaped, and turn flat in the end. The base of stipe has ovate volva. This has a pleasant taste.
