わが国の本州、中部地方から東北地方、北海道それに南千島や朝鮮半島に分布しています。亜高山帯から高山帯の湿った草地に生え、高さは１０〜１５センチになります。葉は長楕円形から披針形で、互生します。７月から８月ごろ、茎頂に淡黄緑色の花を穂状に咲かせます。唇弁の距は下向きに長く湾曲します。

ラン科ツレサギソウ属の多年草で、学名は Platanthera maximowicziana。英名はありません。

"Tqkane-sagi-so" (Platanthera maximowicziana) belongs to the Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from Chubu district to Tohoku district, Hokkaido, the southern Kuril Islands and the Korean Peninsula. This herb grows in sub-alpine to alpine wet grasslands and can reach 10-15 cm in height. The leaves are oblong to lanceolate and alternate. The pale yellowish green flowers bloom in spike-like from July to August. The spur of labial petal is long and inflected descending.
