中国の東北部から朝鮮半島北部、モンゴルやシベリアに分布しています。蔓性の木本で乾燥した藪や林縁などに生え、高さは1メートルほどになります。葉は奇数羽状複葉で、卵形または卵円形の小葉が3〜7個つきます。8月から9月ごろ、白色の花を咲かせます。花冠には、花弁のような4個の萼片があります。果実は扁平な卵形の痩果で、長い羽状毛がつきます。
キンポウゲ科センニンソウ属の多年草で、学名は Clematis terniflora var. mandshurica。英名はありません。
The Clematis terniflora var. mandshurica belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a deciduous woody vine that is native to north-eastern China, as well as the northern Korean Peninsula, Mongolia and Siberia. This herb grows on dry scrubs and forest margins, and can reach about 1 m in height. The leaves are impari-pinnate with 3-7 ovate or ovate-round leaflets. The white flowers bloom in August and September. The corolla has four petaloid sepals. The fruits are flat-ovate achenes with long hairy plumes.
