たつなみそう (立浪草)

わが国の本州から九州、それに朝鮮半島から中国・台湾、インドシナに分布しています。山野の林縁や丘陵地に生え、高さは２０〜４０センチになります。５月から６月ごろ、淡い青紫色の泡立つ波のような唇形花を咲かせます。日の当たる方向にむかって咲き、ピンク色や白色の花もあります。 |

シソ科タツナミソウ属の多年草で、学名は Scutellaria indica。英名は Japanese skullcap。 |

Japanese skullcap (Scutellaria indica) belongs to Lamiaceae (the Mint family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from Honshu to Kyushu, as well as the Korean Peninsula, China, Taiwan and the Indochina Peninsula. This herb grows in forest edges or hills, and can reach 20-40 cm in height. The pale bluish-purple, bubbly wave-like, abiate flowers bloom from May to June. They open up in the direction of the sunlight, and also have pink or white flower color. |
