わが国の北海道および本州の尾瀬、北アルプス、八ヶ岳、七面山それに北半球の北部に分布しています。山地帯上部から亜高山帯に生え、高さは１０〜３０センチになります。茎の基部は地面を這って伸びます。茎葉は丸く、３脈が目立ちます。６月から８月ごろ、茎の先の花序に小さな淡い青紫色の花を咲かせます。 |

ゴマノハグサ科クワガタソウ属の多年草で、学名は Veronica serpyllifolia spp. humifusa。英名は Brightblue speedwell、Thyme-leaved speedwell。 |

The Brightblue speedwell (Veronica serpyllifolia spp. humifusa) belongs to Scrophulariaceae (the Figwort family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed to Hokkaido and Oze Marshland, the Northern Alps, the Yatsugatake Mountains, Mt. Shichimen in Honshu, Japan, and the north part of Northern Hemisphere. This herb grows in upper montane to sub-alpine zone and can reach 10-30 cm in height. The base of stem crawls on the ground and spreads. The cauline leaves are round and have prominent three veins. The small pale blue-purple flowers bloom in the clusters atop of stems from June to August. |
