The Stemless fournerve daisy (Tetraneuris acaulis) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from the midwest part of Canada to the midwest and central parts of the United States. It grows in open, dry hills and plains, and is about 30 cm tall. The leaves are spatulate to lanceolate or linear lanceolate, with entire margins, and the surface is either hairy or smooth. From April to October, it produces bright yellow flower heads on elongated scapes. There are usually 8 to 15 ray florets. The fruit is a small achene.
