インドおよびスリランカが原産です。蔓性で１．８〜２．４メートルほどよじ登ります。葉は濃い緑色で、ベルベットのような手触りです。夏から初秋にかけて、真っ白な花を咲かせます。花には芳香があり、ハチやチョウを引き付けます。

キツネノマゴ科ツンベルギア属の常緑蔓性木本で、学名は Thunbergia fragrans。英名は White lady、Angelwings。

|
The White lady (Thunbergia fragrans) belongs to Acanthaceae (the Acanthus family). It is an evergreen vine that is native to India and Sri Lanka. This vine scrambles over and grows 1.8-2.4 m long. The leaves are dark green and velvety. The white flowers bloom in summer and early fall. They have a scent and are attractive to bees and butterflies.
