ちぢみだま (縮玉) [Index] [Back] メキシコの北部、サカテカス州からドゥランゴ州に分布しています。単独で生え、高さは１０センチ、直径が１０センチほどになります。多くの波状の稜があるのが特徴です。春に、紫色がかった中筋のあるピンク色の花を咲かせます。 サボテン科ステノカクツス属の球形サボテンで、学名は Stenocactus zacatecasensis（syn. Echinofossulocactus zacatecasensis）。英名は Wave cactus、Brain cactus。 The Wave cactus (Stenocactus zacatecasensis) belongs to Cactaceae (the Cactus family). It is a spherical cactus that is native to northern Mexico, Zacatecas and Durango. This cactus is solitary and grows up to 10 cm in height, 10 cm in diameter. It has many wavy ribs. The pink flowers with purplish midstripes come in spring.
