わが国の北海道からシベリア、北アメリカに分布しています。海岸の岩場やツンドラ地帯に生え、高さは５〜２５センチになります。根生葉は三小葉で厚くて綿毛に被われ、はっきりした葉脈があります。６月から８月ごろ、黄色い花を咲かせます。 |

バラ科キジムシロ属の多年草で、学名は Potentilla megalantha。英名はありません。 |

"Chishima-kimbai" belongs to Roseaceae (the Rose family). It is a perennial herb that is native from Hokkaido in Japan to Siberia and North America. This herb grows in coastal rocky sites and the tundra areas, and can reach 5-25 cm in height. The basal leaves are trifoliate compound, thick, distinguish veining, and covered with wooly hairs. The yellow flowers bloom from June to August. |
