ブラジルからウルグアイ、パラグアイそれにアルゼンチンに分布しています。樹上や岩の上に着生し、高さは５センチほどになります。細い灰緑色の葉は、７〜８センチでロゼットを形成します。花茎を伸ばして、ピンク色の苞に包まれた明るい青紫色の花を咲かせます。写真中２〜３・下は「京都府立植物園」の種名札では、「チランドシア・アエラントス」。ただし写真をみると「チランドシア・テヌイフォリア・ストロビリフォルミス（Tillandsia tenuifolia var. strobiliformis）」かも知れません。

パイナップル科ハナアナナス属の常緑多年草で、学名は Tillandsia aeranthos。英名はありません。

The Tillandsia aeranthos belongs to Bromeliaceae (the Pineapple family). It is an evergreen herb that is distributed from Brazil to Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina. It grows on trees and rocks and is about 5 cm high. The thin gray-green leaves form a rosette at 7-8 cm. The flower stalks are borne to bloom bright bluish-purple flowers wrapped in pink bracts. In the photo, 3rd-4th, the bottom is "Chirancia Aerantus" in the species name tag of "Kyoto Botanical Gardens". However, it may be "Tillandsia tenuifolia var. strobiliformis" in the photo.
