マレー半島からインドネシアに分布しています。沼沢地に生え、葉は剣状で、らせん状に配列しています。幼木のかたちから、別名で「パイナップルプラント」とも呼ばれます。写真は、斑入り種です。 |

タコノキ科タコノキ属の常緑小高木で、学名は Pandanus baptisii。英名はありません。 |

The Pandanus baptisii belongs to Pandanaceae (the Screwpine family). It is a semi-tall evergreen tree that is distributed from the Malay Peninsula to Indonesia. It grows in swamps and its leaves are sword-shaped and spirally arranged. It is also called "Pineapple plant" because of the shape of the young tree. The photos are a variegated species. |
