わが国の本州、中部地方から関東地方に分布しています。山地の林のなかなどに生え、高さは１メートルほどになります。茎はしなやかで、ほかの草などに寄りかかるようにして伸びます。８月から９月ごろ、葉腋から花柄をだして黄色い花をまばらにつけます。別名で「つるけまん（蔓華鬘）」とも呼ばれます。

ケマンソウ科キケマン属の二年草で、学名は Corydalis ochotensis。英名はありません。

The "Tsuru-kikeman" (Corydalis ochotensis) belongs to Fumariaceae (the Fumitory family). It is a biennial herb that is native to Honshu of Japan, from Chubu district north to Kanto district. This herb grows in montane forests and it can reach about 1 m in height. The stems are pliable and lean over on other plants. The yellow flowers bloom on axillary peduncles from August to September.
