中央アジアのウズベキスタンに分布しています。矮性で、高さは１０〜１５センチになります。灰緑色の葉は細く、縁が波打っています。３月から４月ごろ、花茎を出して、レモンイエローの花を咲かせます。花弁は外側のほうが長くなっています。花冠の中心部には、うぐいす色の斑があります。写真は、園芸品種の「ブライトジェム（cv. Bright Gem）」。

ユリ科チューリップ属の多年草で、学名は Tulipa batalinii。英名はありません。

The Tulipa batalinii belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed in Uzbekistan in Central Asia. It is dwarf and can reach 10 to 15 cm in height. The gray-green leaves are thin and have wavy edges. From March to April, the flower stalks come out and the lemon yellow flowers come in bloom. The petals are longer on the outside. In the center of the corolla, there are light-colored spots. The photos are the cultivar 'Bright Gem'.
