わが国の本州、関東地方以西から四国・九州それに朝鮮半島や中国に分布しています。暖地の岩上や屋根の上などに生え、高さは１５センチほどになります。葉は多肉質でロゼット状につき、先端は針状に尖ります。９月から１１月ごろ、花茎を伸ばして総状花序をつけ、白い花を咲かせます。花後、その株は枯れますが、短い匍匐枝をだして小株をつくります。 |

ベンケイソウ科イワレンゲ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Orostachys japonicus。英名はありません。 |

"Tsume-renge" (Orostachys japonicus) belongs to Crassulaceae (the Orpine family). It is an evergreen herb that is distributed from Kanto region of Honshu west to Shikoku, Kyushu in Japan, the Korean Peninsula, and China. This herb rows on rocks and roofs in warm regions, and is about 15 cm high. The leaves are fleshy and rosette-shaped, with needle-shaped tips. From September to November, the flower stalks are borne to form racemes and white flowers bloom. After flowering, the plant withers, but a short stolon is produced to make a small plant. |
