つくしみかえりそう (筑紫見返り草) [Index] [Back] わが国の本州、紀伊半島や中国地方それに四国・九州に分布しています。山地の林床や林縁に生え、高さは４０〜６０センチになります。「みかえりそう（見返り草）」の変種です。葉は広卵形で大きく、長い葉柄がつきます。９月から１０月ごろ、茎の先に総状花序をだし、淡紅色の唇形花を咲かせます。別名で「おおまるばのてんにんそう（大丸葉の天人草）」とも呼ばれます。 シソ科テンニンソウ属の落葉小低木で、学名は Leucosceptrum stellipilum var. tosaensis (syn. Leucosceptrum stellipilum var. radicans)。英名はありません。 The "Tsukushi-mikaeri-so" (Leucosceptrum stellipilum var. tosaensis) belongs to Lamiaceae (the Mint family). It is a deciduous shrub that is distributed to the Kii Peninsula, Chugoku region of Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu in Japan. It grows on forest floors and forest edges in mountainous areas and grows 40 to 60 cm tall. It is a variant of the "Mikaeri-so". It has large, broadly ovate leaves with long petioles. From September to October, it produces racemes at the ends of its stems and produces light red, labiate flowers.
