わかさはまぎく (若狭浜菊) [Index] [Back] わが国の本州、福井県から鳥取県の日本海側に分布しています。海岸や山地の岩場や崖に生え、高さは４０〜８０センチになります。「りゅうのうぎく（竜脳菊）」の変種で、全体に大きいのが特徴です。葉は卵形から広卵形で、浅く３裂します。１０月から１１月ごろ、直径４〜５センチの白色の頭花を咲かせます。 キク科キク属の多年草で、学名は Chrysanthemum japonucum var. wakasaense。英名はありません。 "Wakasa-hama-giku" (Chrysanthemum japonucum var. wakasaense) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native to the Japan Sea side of Honshu, from Fukui-prefecture west to Tottori prefecture in Japan. This herb grows on coastal, montane rocky places and cliffs, and can reach 40-80 cm in height. This species is a variety of "Ryunou-giku", and defined by relatively large plant.
