スリナムやフランス領ギアナそれにブラジル北部に分布しています。蔓性で樹木などに着生し、葉柄には毛が密生しています。若い葉柄や毛は、赤い色をしています。葉はハート形で大きく５裂します。真ん中の裂片は卵形で、両サイドに２対の裂片があります。１０センチほどの仏炎苞のある花を咲かせます。

サトイモ科フィロデンドロン属の常緑多年草で、学名は Philodendron squamiferum。英名は Finger philodendron。

The Finger philodendron (Philodendron squamiferum) belongs to Araceae (the Arum family). It is an evergreen herb that is distributed in Suriname, French Guiana and northern Brazil. It is a vine and grows on trees, and the petioles are densely covered with hair. Young petioles and hair have a red color. The leaves are heart-shaped and split into 5 large lobes. The middle lobe is ovate with two pairs of lobes on each side. It blooms flowers with a spathe of about 10 cm.
